Welcome to our 2023/24 season, as you will see from the attached Programme of Events we have many delights in store. We are excited to announce that in addition to our 6 concerts supported by Chamber Music Scotland, we will be welcoming Scottish Opera Highlights to Ardrishaig – a first for us.
To make our concerts available to a wide audience, even though costs have risen, ticket prices remain the same as last year
Standard £15
Concession £13
Students and children – free
Season Tickets
6 concerts for the price of 5
Standard £75
Concession £65
Season tickets can be bought by bank transfer using the reference ST and your name eg STSueMacL – see bank details below
Cheque – at a concert, give to a committee member or post to me - details below
Cash – at a concert or give to a committee member
We will, again, keep a list of Season Ticket holders at the ticket desk so no need to remember to bring your ticket. Tickets are transferable so you can give them to a friend if you can’t come, they just need to tell us your name at the desk.
(The Scottish Opera Highlights tickets will be available on their website and are not included in the MAAA season ticket)
This scheme allows us to collect Gift Aid on amounts less than £20 without you having to fill in any forms. We thought that at future concerts we would have a bowl available for donations after the concert so as you leave having enjoyed the music you can give MAAA your loose change! We encourage you to give us a little [or a lot] after every concert.
Donations can still be made by bank transfer – details below – using the reference Don and your name eg "DonSueMacL" or if you prefer to be anonymous "Donanom".
Our concerts are funded by ticket sales and we apply for an annual grant from Chamber Music Scotland – we are very pleased to have heard that this year’s application was successful. Unfortunately, these two amounts do not cover costs which include musicians’ fees, overnight accommodation, travel, catering and hall rental.
You are invited to our AGM on Saturday 4th November at 13.30 in Ardrishaig Public Hall. Tea and coffee will be available from 13.15.
This is before a concert which starts at 15.00.
I noticed that at the National Service of Thanksgiving at St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh, July 5th there were at least two performers who had recently been at Ardrishaig Public Hall. A reminder of the quality of the performers we are able to attract to Mid Argyll, another reason to look forward to our 40th Concert Season.
Best wishes
